Can I take my driving exam in English?
Yes — for the automatic license. The CBR practical exam can be conducted in English. The theory exam is also available in English. For manual transmission, the practical exam is generally Dutch-only.
Can I exchange my home-country license?
EU/EEA licenses are exchangeable. Some non-EU licenses (US, Canada, Japan, etc.) can also be exchanged under specific conditions. Otherwise, you'll need to get a Dutch license. We can advise during your first lesson.
How many lessons will I need?
The CBR average is 35–40 lessons. With automatic and prior driving experience, fewer.
Do you pick me up?
Yes — pickup from home, station or your UM faculty is included.
What does the full process cost?
Roughly €2,000–€2,500 for a full automatic track including theory, practical and exam. Full transparent pricing here.
Is there a difference between manual and automatic?
Yes. Manual lets you drive both manuals and automatics; automatic-only restricts you to automatics. For most international students, automatic is the smarter pick.
